Hi iam
building a load of trails, jumps, draniage at the bull track (this takes most of my time)
Iam also building some shore and could do with a hand is there any body whos willing to help build the shore. There is every thing you need timber, nails, trees, land ect any body who helps can have free use of the place and can build what they like with in reason.

not to complicated the main frame is there, the originall builder has moved away I will try to put some photos up soon

alvar, how about ben03?i reckon him and his brother will help.
if the weathers a bit shite i could come down with a couple of my lot(60miles)

you will get some amazing shore if jedi and co come down !

You could jsut have a big building day were people come down and help sometime.

im happy to help next time i come up, i added a little on the 10th when we came up (im the one with the white bighit)

looks ok,but i'd have skinned the bark off the trees,helps stop rotting

theres a man of experience
any other tips?

stain the slats,blends in better and protects them from rotting longer

use triangles in the constructions of the frames.

make the entry harder than the end to avoid people getting out of their depth actually on the stunt.

I have been building dirt jumps like mad, as for the shore its not really my bag but it will only be an addition to the place and done well it can be fun when its done pop down I know you like a bit of shore!!!!

looks rpetty good, isn;t their any oak or other deent ish hard woods about you could use? as the Birch will always rot in the end.

all wood rots but birch just gives up the ghost in a blink.one minute its ok then  its rotten to the core

i know all wood rots but you'd be hard pushed to see some oak or chestnut rot in the lifespan of some NS. i.e it owuld be cut short by something else, like everyoone getting bored and going to ride some DH

true but oak is also stoopid hard to nail etc...

pine for uk natural if poss(bark skinned) it'll be there long enough for the dh'ers to get bored and wear lycra

well a decent wood is never gonna be easy to send nails through, depends which way you do it in relations to the grain though, obviously.But at least it'll last. Lets not go downt he racer/'freerider' route...Everyone knows who wins ;)

I have been riding a lot of endro EVEN Cliped in, and its fun as is DHracing, free ride, bmx XC, 4 cross. its all about riding with your mate s and having a laugh. I like it all even XC

Back to the shore I have had some luck and can get lorry loads of off cuts from the people who build the bridges and styels on country side walks/footpaths so its decentsih wood

alvar, i smile as wide wether i ride shore,dh,xc or down to the shops.
its all about bikes.

If you do I pop up RF on the way home (if you like) I could take you up the bull track and you may have some ideas no how and where to build the shore
But
at the moment the Mrs is a week over due so she could drop any mo so there is a chance I wont be around this weekend
