I just signed up for vritish cycling membership and i forgot to change the gender to male, so its female  :D is there anyway i can change this myself. i have emailed them but i was wanting to know if i can do anything, cos i expect it will take some time before they email me back

they may well pick up on it but it would be best to give them a call. B.C. are usually pretty quick in answering emails.

hah don't worry people, problem sorted, they'd got my email before i phoned up and kinda realised there was a problem anyway  :D. what is the turn around like for reciving the licence??

I usually get mine in Jan.

Seven to 10 days  is the usual . Charlie you probably get yours in January as a renewal...  Dont foreget all race license start in January membership can start anytime.

thats kinda stupid then cos it doens't say this on the website, i ordered a youth because thats what category i'm in this year but if i get it next year then it will be a waste because i'll be junior next year anyway. on the website it just says 10-14 days

i got the provisional licence through today, i take it i would probably get the full one in january when everyone else gets theirs insured. i just want to see if the 6 diget number (709***) is my actual number that i would use to get points or do i get another number for points with the full licence?

Not to hijack this thread, but when do people usually apply for next seasons licences/ whens the best time, any time from now on??

January is the best time to buy membership and licence.

haha charlie just because ive made the commitment to actually finish races next year doesnt mean you have to change gender aswell!

leon, it was £12.50 for the youth membership and the race licence is free but i am in junior next year so i guess they'll ask me for the extra money for the junior next year. i thnk its 22.50 for membership and 12.50 for race licence for junior.

Im not sure about this as i thought the race license ran from January. I thought you just had a membership, i would ring and check with B.C. to make sure you do have a race licence.
If you belong to a go ride club you can get a free silver membership and licence if you havnt held a membership before.
I will check out the information and come back to you as things may have changed and I may not have kept myself up to date.
