New Moelfre Uplift Weekend Confirmations,

All these weekends will have the new track open and the likeliness of the new one being this years NPS track...... well that will be the decision by SPS but the chances are pretty high....   ::)

15th & 16th March 2008

26th & 27th April 2008

30th May & 01st June 2008

All are £34 for the weekend inc food – deduct £5 if you do not want food.

Food consists of Sat night grub in the local pub - Probably sausages, Chips, Beans and bread & butter.  No better way to finish the days rising than with a feed and a few beers.  Last time there was 50 of us in there and was a good crack so lets see if we can get more in there next time.

All uplifts will start at 9am and finish when we finish - prob around 5pm and around 20 runs later.....

Camping is free.

Facilities as per usual – Drinking water available.

First Aid will be on hand as usual.

Photographer will be booked for each weekend – Hopefully Jim from Fat Tyre Mountain Biking will be able to attend all weekends.

All riders must pay in advance.

Please include with payment: Rider names, confirmation e-mail, phone number and contact address and most importantly which weekend or weekends you are booking for - if paying on-line then a pm with details is satisfactory.

There is a limit of 100 riders and 4 x tractors for each weekend – number of tractors will depend on number of riders.

A new Caersws weekend will be up before long - £35 for the weekend including food on the Sat night in the Buck Hotel with choices of meals available....... more info when I have it.....

Fli Distribution will be coming along with some Solid bikes and other bikes they distribute on the weekend of 27th April.

Orange should also be coming along with some Evo 224's and some patriots for that weekend also.

the 15/16 march clashes with Caersws cup

Caersws Cup clashes with me - I set mine then Naked racing changed there's - unfortunate so I'll just be running one tractor.

Unfortunately when Chris Roberts planned his weekends he booked it on the same as the Busa's then changed but didn't spot mine - too late to change mine now which is a little annoying but they can't all run sweetly.

can u just do one day? if so how much is it?

1 day is ok - for April only at the moment - £15 per rider per day.

I'll ask a mate to take some pics....... have none as yet but its looking pretty good and after the next dig weekend should be really taking shape.

I'll see if I can get some over the next few days and post them up....

there is some video footage somewhere too so I'll try and find that also.

Just been on the phone to him and tree felling hasn't started yet and that should start mid May - Hopefully in June we may get a chance for a day so I may try and run a Moelfre / Caersws combo or something to make it a full weekend.

You will get tags each - different colours depending on whether you're doing Sat, Sun or both.....

the moelfre/caersws weekend sounds great...

Not sure if you have been to Caersws but more than likely next time you go all the trees will be gone.

With that all the tracks more than likely but they will be replaced with new tracks.  Better ones.....

Does anyone know an exact date for when caersws is being felled.

yes there are places on the last Moelfre..... there will be a post up confirming nits full when it is but until then feel free to book on.

As for felling - this is a long process.... from what I can work out rather than being days or weeks its actually going to take months.......

As some of the hill is felled Ian will go in behind and start buiding again so that there is always tracks there.

Saturday couldn't have been any better the weather was spot on and the track was dusty.
It was damn greasy today but still a great laugh, especially entering the switchbacks on my arse  ;D

To anyone who hasn't been on one of these yet, get it sorted!

Yeah brilliant weekend.......The mud was just as much fun as the dry if not more so..... plenty of two wheel drifting going on.....

The next will be my last for a few months as am busy with other things..... like Morzine for a few weeks.

I will be organising one more dig weekend hopefully prior to Summer and details will go up soon.

Maybe a Caersws but not sure yet......... need to see what Ian can do for us.....

Get yourselves booked onto the next Moelfre..... May only do 1 depending on numbers over the next week or so....

As its says this will be the last for a little while and at least till after the Nationals.

If you want chance to ride the track before then get yourselves booked on to this one.

Relaxed atmosphere, easy going, plenty of uplifts......... and more sausages than you can shake a stick at!!!

I have no idea either matey - my body finally gave up around 4pm and I was done......

Second to last run I binned it good style in the switchbacks and I knew I just couldn't go any faster......

Thanks Mike, a great day's riding on a great course. Awesome weather (thankfully) and good times were had on Saturday night. I'm with Pete here, I really don't get why everyone left, but no worries - no queueing for uplifts or dealing with uplift gumbys who worry about their bikes too much (you know who you are!) for me!

£29 well spent.

think i got in 14 or 15 runs, and i stopped riding about 3pm!!!!! and the only reason that was because by then i was having to peel my fingers off the bars, and the have been hurting real bad all day today!

What an absolutely quality weekend, got loads of riding in on both days, eventually packed it in around 3 on sunday and I was completely spent! camping on the saturday night was wicked fun, beer, fire, monkey bikes  ;D

Managed to get my car recovered to, although trying to get from welshpool to northampton on a sunday afternoon is near impossible...thank god for mates!

was it you that i offered a jack to as you were trying to get to llancllys?! looked bad dude

Yeah mate! On the way I swerved to avoid someone and hit a tree stump and it bent the nearside lower wishbone!
All sorted now though.
