Title: Touch screen Problems
Post by: Ed.. on March 09, 2008, 16:50:42 PM
I've got a Sony Handycam DVD92E Camera and sometimes the touchscreen stops working. When it gets cold, it seems to not respond at all. After a while though & sometimes if it gets warmed up, it works again, but sometimes not. It seems very recently affected by the damp & cold, but I've filmed in the rain at Fort William in the past with no problems.
Any ideas what might be causing it & what the solutions could be?

cheers
Ed

I've got the same camcorder, never had problem with the screen. I never normally have it open when filming, so that might be a difference? You'd think it would keep itself warm if it were on. Maybe moister in there or a dodgy connection? ???  :-\

You could leave it somewhere warm for a while, that might get rid of any moister in there.
Or open it up if you feel adventurous. ;)

I do that, open the screen & disc cover & leave it in the kitchen over night, then next day it works but if i go out riding with it then come back & try & watch the footage the screen is very tempermental
