Uk Bike Park are pleased to announce the launch of the Dakine Ladder Alley on the 22nd June. We would love you to join us for a action packed days riding and relaxing in Dorset. The generous people from Dakine have paid for a FREE uplift service open to everyone. This will be running all day so if you want to attend the most chilled and relaxed riding day that you are going to have this summer, then please register your details.

We will be offering the now legendary Uk Bike Park food service and Torico will be there with all your biking needs and of course Dakine will be there with all their 2008 product range. Register now as its going to go off! Uplifts will start at 10.00am but its not about shuttling all day long! would be a good day out but missing riding rheola one off the best tracks in the country i dont think so, maybee next time

that got changed about a month ago. i assume you havent been up since as you can hit it without braking now. the landings have all been improved as has the double and berm. so yeah that's pretty much the whole trail thats been redone apart from the takeoffs.

Balls, I thought 'team' read 'town' for some reason, so it now looks as if ive said im in bristol team/ sponsored by bristol and probably look like an idiot :D

Free uplift is awesome, surely there's a limit on the tickets?

no limit on tickets - you got to think of this event as a jam session, so cramming in loads of uplifts in a day isnt going to happen, however sessioning the park and having a laugh with your mates is what its all about. You should still manage to get on the uplifts a few times though. we need to know how many people are coming so we can allocate parking and make sure we have enough mums cake, burgers and sausages ready !

Think everyone should go and do Rheola definately!!

Then we can have a nice quiet 'free' Uplift......might even get a chance to ride my bike!  :)

Couple of boring bits for you folks, non park members will still have to buy day passes for the park (availiable on the day of course from the cabin) and also sorry to say THERE WILL BE NOOOOOO CAMPING on site!  :'(  we'll need all the space and more for parking.

last time i was up there was around a month ago. Guy who had the day tickets said they had just put a load of dirt onto the landings. the whole top area was a tad soft so i guess that must of been what you were on about. 

Still near flat, guess i should stop pedalling through it aswell  :-\

When i phoned Torico this morning they said it wouldnt be necessary for non park members to buy day tickets for the free uplift.

I'll have a word and post back when we have an arrangement, I look after the park, ben's organising the day...just something that was overlooked.... :)

Sound - ive just booked 4 people on so i need to let them know if extra costs are gonna be involved, as its a bit of a trek down as it is.

Flipin' eck! Just read the camp site facilities list and it sounds better than the Bike Park!! We're in trouble!!! They've got a mountain bike course (they've had the xc odd race there I think), a shop, an adventure playground and hot running water!

All just 4 miles away from the park.....good stuff!

Anyway to reiterate and confirm, Day passes will be needed for all non park members (available on the day) to enter the park, DAKINE are shouting the Uplift trucks/drivers/fuel/insurance etc which is more than generous..... :)

What trucks will you be running? all 3 if they havn't broken down?

Ill be at the adventure playground instead  ;D.
They better have one of those zip wire things !!

Well over a hundred riders in less than 24 hrs!!

Ok several points that need reiterating;

* If you are not a member of the park you will need to buy a day pass to ride @ £5 per person which will be payable on the day.
* There is defiantly NO camping on this weekend
* We will be charging a small parking fee to help cover our costs (toilets, genys, land rental etc) also payable on the day.
* This will not be like a normal uplift where you expect to get an uplift almost every run. The uplift service will super busy with many hundreds of riders so the wait for the trucks could long..........
* The aim of the event is to promote both the park & Dakine whilst giving riders a taster of what the park has to offer (including the uplifts).
* Please only enter if you know you attend for sure - please don't enter for the sake of it as it takes a space away from someone else.

any idea of how much parking will be?

is there going to be a cap on numbers - i can invisage 1000 people turning up and it being chaos; thats alot of cake for ali's mum to bake haha.

Parking won't much - a few quid (or so) per car

We'll monitor the numbers and see how it goes - but like we've said it's not going to be a normal uplift!!

Mum has just gone off giggling at the amount of cake needed - she loves baking it!!

Looks like we'll have to talk the farmer into a little more field space than he's currently offering if we get a big turn out (which I'm sure we will if the sun shines!), doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is to him!

£2 a car will be the fee...............so car share is the way to go!

Like Paul bike park says, we'll have loos, sounds and maybe a special start ramp set up just for Ladder Ally.

Over 50% of places have gone! Places are limited to 350 while we negotiate more parking space.

Some people have attempted to book 10 places under one name on the online sign in, can I just point out that booking ten places does not mean you will get 10 uplifts or whatever confusing senario that can be dreamed up for the day.
This is a free promotional Uplift service, you book in, turn up, you get a free Uplift (or quite likely several, ......want more?..... do an Uplift day  ;))    Simple!

Do you only get 1 uplift for the whole day?

No, but you won't get as many as a usual uplift because the queues will be hench.

Your welcome to get as many uplifts as you can but it's going to be very busy so the wait will longer than a normal uplift - therefore we recommend using the uplift service as an added bonus & easy way to get to the top. Spend your time more constructively by sessioning Dakine ladder ally (could be a some more ladders added to the trail soon!!), the new 4X course (Xup) or playing on the new road gaps & dirt jumps at the bottom. Just come on up, ride all day and have fun  :D
