Yeah theres an uplift on the saturday, just turn up with the pass you won and we'll sort you out....

As for track plans, we like to try and use the whole park for racing so I'd get thinking about the ones we havent used already, I'm sure it'll be one of them   :)

nooooooooooooo use HSE and a different start other than wiggly woo or use that off camber one like behind HSE which didnt have a name

Title: Re: rnd 3
Post by: Ali.w on May 16, 2008, 19:50:06 PM
90% Certain we'll be using, shhhh!........ Devil'sDyke   served up with the usual mods and tweaks to get it all primed for racing. The start will still be off the big ramp! The new berm section will also be in there....

HSE and the other track behind it (Andy's Steep Track!) will both hopfully feature later in the series, the reason we're not using them yet is so we don't keep moving the timing cable between the two different finishes ( it's easily damaged...)

I think i went dwn h.s.e on the uplift before rnd 1 in the wet ! Must say some sections were very steep, once you fell off you ended up at the bottom in a big pile :)

You'll be going down the new berm bit, missing the humps  :'(, coming out in the top corner of the bowl and cutting across from there, we still got tons more work to do on the old gap...

Dunno why I'm telling you all this Ash, you probably won't find it till it's all taped  ;) ;D

16" wheels or less and no more than £5 spent

(call it £7:50  ;D)

If your gonna bring your own.... The customised ones seem to go faster!

The website seems OK to load at the moment (with me) but it can be a bit temperamental. It's not a real website using HTML but a large flash document, therefore you need a flash player to be able to view it properly.

The direct link to all the events

http://www.eventbrite.com/org/49054998?s=888144

Or Round 3 DH race series

http://www.eventbrite.com/event/93355228

If need any more help let me know..............

Too big to compete as a mini, but you can still bring it along to goof around on!

Why is it called devil's dyke?

Title: Re: rnd 3
Post by: Uk Bike Park on May 28, 2008, 22:09:51 PM
Why is it called devil's dyke?

Because that part of the hill is called 'Cross Dyke' on the OS map, so we just changed it around a bit to Devils Dyke (sounds a bit more scary.......  ;)  )

yeah well up for a klunker race
maybe not  at this round but surely in the future.  maybe raise some money for stephen murray fund ?

All set now for a top weekend, the track's gonna be great! Your getting short changed if your not riding 'The Dyke' in the wet!!  ;D

It's not actually too bad, we do need all those roots nice and slippy to sort out the real racers (if you got the balls, you'll cut the time...). The track has had a couple of last minute tweaks to keep you regulars on your toes, most of it should be taped by now too. Looking forward to finally racing myself sunday (if I can remember how to ride a bike), think my body armour is still in a bin liner somewhere from France last year..........ain't I going to be the popular one in the uplift truck!! :P

That would be good, like an uplift day for it or something, although it could be hard to find the balance between using the uplift fees to pay for petrol/food etc, and using the money to donate to the stephen murray fund
