just got me a new fish eye so im all set , booked the COACH!  :'( but itl be worth it. so whos going up. sdh photog meet up ?

I want to but its a mission and a half...

And a 14 hour coach journey from south devon isnt ?!?!  :P ;D

Yeh about the same for me. I can't sit on coaches for that long or my legs will snap they're too long!

if i go my mum will want to go to scotland any way so ive got a lift up :)

milkumus, any chance the coach will stop near me in guildford so i can hop on and go up with you?

no our coach goes all up the west side  ( bristol , birmingham , preston etc ) sorry man. get one to glasgow and its on though

I think I know who you are - I think I hollered at you for sitting in front of my speedlight on the 4x track at the Worlds last year! Heh heh

probably , so many photogs there speedlights everywhere! you where always in somones way or in the way of there flashes on the 4x. im sorry for that ha ill try not to do it again  :P

I take it theres a million people with wireless flashes all moaning about people using same frequencies haha

bloody AS exams are stopping me going this year but was there last year at the worlds

1 of the sdh photographers got an amazing picture of cunningham and bryceland on the nissan jump both doing whips 1 to the left and 1 to the right was awesome and brentdog pointing straight down the camera lense as he 1 hand whipped
made my weekend!!!

Heh heh, nah, it was fine mate, you're right, there were literally dozens of them lined up on the first corner. Catch-flash central, was awesome!

I use Nikon CLS for lighting, but it gets "blinded" when there are loads of flashes popping. Pocket Wizards are ok from what I know - remember the US and the Brits have different frequencies (US ones are technically illegal here), so that helps a bit.

And ebay triggers too! I might buy a radio jammer for shits and giggles. Haha nah wouldnt do that. I might just try and catch other people's flash, even tho timing on that would be absolute luck!

Yep I'll be up there too, my tripods have SDH stickers so I can't be missed too easily. Milky will be easy to spot, just look out for a group of media tent girls, he'll be somewhere around them handing out business cards ;)

I take it you can set up all your gear where there's space then or you talking about press pass stuff?

How do you get into photography enough to get a press pass then? Do they ask you or do you just apply and use your credentials to get one?

Jesus took me 2 n a half hours today to get a room sorted for friday, saturday and sunday that will allow me to have a late key on the saturday and sunday nights!
And I'm miles out!

BUMP! right now we are in the last few days before people set off up there. who is going ? when ?

Couple of us heading up early Thursday, ready for the 4x practice and qualifying later on.

I'm up with Milky filming for Foot Out Flat Out from Thursday arvo.

if any of you threaten to knock me out like the french frog(not aimed at french in general just this particular chap) that did last year because i didnt catch his remote flash when it fell over into the 4x track and accused me of knocking it over before threatening to knock me out.

Ill radio in to get your pass removed :P

im there wednesday till monday  and i didnt get a room sorted so im bivying it up in a bivy bag somewhere in the woods or up the glen  and stealing glen nevis showers !

Hmm sounds exactly like what us lot are doing. We were like hmm well stroll into the campsite get a shower and bail :D Just need to get up there somehow ::) Train seems awkward and expensive :-\

Is this all televised at all ... ?  :-\

how many people planning on being in glen nevis campsite ? we will be unless we get lucky and a plan works out.

We are planning on using the campsite but not saying there. Thats if we can get there that is. If i see anyone ill give them i shout :)
