yeah was a good day :) shame the uplifts were a tad slow but 100+ people!!! thats pretty good for the south and not suprising that it was a tad slower.

note to all, when stoping in practise dont just stand on the track get  of it!

not one clean practise without stopping more than twice, dmr 1+2!  :P

Title: Re: Round 3 - The Aftermath
Post by: Husky on June 01, 2008, 19:34:52 PM
haha well hello there! third is all good buddy, yeah uplift was pretty good was the amount of people rather than the service.

glad im not the only one getting held up by people, understandable if uve stacked big but not wen ur being dumb and just stop dead centre on the track.

think i had more crashes by going into people than rider error :D

What a top weekend! Looks like we got the best of the the weather too...

Thanks to all who helped out, Marshalls, volunteers, uplift drivers and Wayne our new park 'Meeter and Greeter'.....
Great to see the French back at the park (Tomacs liked sweeet and fast!)

Mini bike racing was good, don't remeber who won in the end!? (hope you liked the Monster prizes)

And the Big Air! Proper good, can't believe Zak nearly cleared a 4x table on a bike built for a 4yr old!!  ;D

Thanks to all for leaving our site nice and clean (no dead Badgers!) too, this is key to us being able to run future events so keep it up please.

Devil's Dyke did not dissapoint, that track was made for wet riding!

Next stop Dakine free Uplift...

Ps Saw that Mr Biscuithead made up 3 valuable seconds on his 2nd run, damn!  ;)

Falling off is a different matter though :-\, it's stopping for a quick chat in the middle of a track that's annoying people...

Guess your 2nd run didn't go to plan either  ;D. Paul and I were saying the same thing, we need some concentrated riding to get back into it, so bring on the Alps. Hope your family enjoyed themselves....

Not quite as id hoped, no. Never mind, its all in the fun of racing i guess. The family thought it was a good day, although the mrs kindly pointed out that the last 3 races id got progressively worse results. Im leaving them at the campsite next time ;)

Pauls run was class, the bottom section, he's certainly got bottle. So have you for lending him your bike :D

Pauls run was class, the bottom section, he's certainly got bottle. So have you for lending him your bike

Yeah! was going to say, I was gonna get a 2nd run in but some gorilla ran off with me bike! His 2nd run was pretty spectacular, you could actually see him chewing the handle bars as he was riding he was on that much of a mission!!  :D

Going up to ride the track thursday, hope it pees down!!!  ;D

Yeah, its in order of category.  It would be nicer to have it in position order, or even better a link to an Excel file or even a Word file with a table on it so we could sort by whatever we want...
