i took a risk this year on buying the 2008 dj1s and i have to say i am extremely surpirsed they are absolutly awesum forks and have faultless performance, and also look great on any bike, defo consider them this year as they are flawless

well they arent flawless, lower quality metals and just generally not as good as previous years.
Id highly recommend Argyles, love mine! The 318 is identical to the 302 apart from the 318s compression adjust, which i dont use much to be honest. But yeah, 318s are wicked forks! but the 302s still dominate the DJ series.
Yeah Like Tim L said the only difference is the compression (for hill climbs etc) which a DJ would hardly use, I rate them alot higher then the DJ series, although if you have the chance the 06/07 DJ1 are alright

I lost interest in Marz in 06, so anything later than that i have no idea about, i just close all of their products off as utter s**t.
Dirt jumper wise.... the only good year they had was 03 really.... 04/05 they got heavy and felt crap, 06 they lost a bit of weight but still didnt feel too good.
I say try find some old 03DJ1's, but that may be quite a task!
Alternatively Argyles everytime..... Rock Shox are never failing to impress me since 06 (my how the tables turned), my friend vlad rides a set and has done for a while, I've seen him do some f'ing stupid things on them and they keep coming back from more, they still feel awesome too without even a single service!
Another vote here for Argyles, I have the 302's and they're mint... mine are a bit soft for my liking with the stock springs but then I'm a fat sh*t atm
