Just incase you didn't know the NPS 4x series is coming to the park this weekend!

Now the start ramp is finally done (just in the nick of time........usual bike park style!  ;D ) we're looking forward to two days of top 4x racing on the new gnarly track....

Even if your not competing, it'll still be worth coming up to see all the action and cheer on the riders!

The UKBP crew will be onsite all weekend with the Cabin Kitchen offering hot/cold snacks and drinks.
 
Also the Hagglunds sound system will be pumping out some beats spun from our local Djs.

Pluuuus, one of our monster uplift trucks will be running every hour throughout the days for single run uplifts! (tickets at the Cabin).

Camping is availiable onsite from Friday night @£5 per person for the weekend.

The ramp looks top mate, veryyyy nice- Just wished it was built a few weeks back when I was down there! (It's a bit of a drive from nottingham, so I'm not sure when i'll be down again!)

I'll be there with camera.  ;D

what time would it finish on sunday? I'm wanting to go and watch but im busy till early afternoon...

might even bring a camera if the times fit well.

Thought it might actually be a useful tip, but there you go....

Is the track open Friday to ride?

looking at getting there after lunch so be good to get a few hours before bed ;D

We'll be onsite from Thursday - the track will be rideable (there might be certain sections closed for race preps) on all days leading up to the race weekend. Remember if you're not a member you will need a day pass @ £5 per day to ride. If you're racing the NPS on Sat/Sun your day pass is included in the entry fee - remember that is for the Sat/Sun ONLY.

Camping will be from Friday evening through to Sunday - no exceptions!!

Going to be a great weekend - also if don't want to race the 4X you can still come up and watch the racing, camp, ride in the park or sample the uplift  ;D

Also worth remembering that pay on the day entrys for the NPS 4X will attract an extra £10 levy - so book on line now!!

Is the 4x spread over two days? And are there two rounds happening at once?

Yes - RD6 on the Sat, RD7 on the Sun - double the fun!!

Didn't realise the rest of the park was open until now, and i don't fancy lugging my sx down the 4x track ;).. Can you buy a day pass on the day?

EDIT: Bought one day pass, Camping ticket is available to buy on the Saturday we arrive? Looking forward to it.
The website is slightly confusing though Clicky (http://ukbikepark.moonfruit.com#/4xraces/4527736871) If you scroll down according to the page there are no races on the 16Th/17Th under the 'dates' section ? It also says that racing doesnt start until 5 and finishes at 8 so surely it cant finish at 3/4?  :-\ O well should still be an awesome weekend.   :)

Any problems on the webshite are entirely my fault - that what late nights do to you.

The racing will start about 12 (practice from about 9/10) finishing around 5 - 6pm on both days. Like our DH race events it really depends on how many enter and what problems creep up!

It's defiantly going to be really great - looking forward..........

How's the surrounding spectator area looking for mud?  I want to come and have a gander but will have to bring the entire family, don't want to be struggling with a pushchair through knee high sludge....

Pushchair access shouldn't be too bad, you can get to the higher side of the track and to the end via the top fireroad (we graded tons of mud off this at the start of the year), on the lower side we now have a wood chipped push up route for the 4x that links to the lower fire road and the finish. It may be a little difficult around the actual start platform as we have yet to finally landscape.

Ha ha, cheers for the information, I bet pushchair access wasn't particularly high on your list of priorities when organising the event.  Still, expose them young I say.....

Weather - umm.... it only looks like showers on metcheck. The park is bone dry at the moment (and the top field) so any rain gets quicky absorbed - just going to have to go with what ever were given!!
