Title: Broken Shoulder Post by: Barbourc1 on August 18, 2008, 15:41:42 PM Just broken my shoulder riding yday , Im a dj'er myself but wanted to try my hand at abit of xc , so spoke to a few friends and found an instructor willing to take us, and he found this nice seculded spot at Mugdock country park in Mulgay , so we were following him and i was riding abit too fast coming round a blind corner and didnt see the nice wet rock sticking out the ground... At first he thought it was my shoulder blade , then my collar bone , After the Xrays it turned out to be my AC bone? Like a rugby players injury to their shoulders , so thats that , no riding for 2months :'(
Title: Re: Broken Shoulder Post by: Rootes on August 18, 2008, 16:07:57 PM I'll tell you for nothing you haven't broken your AC bone. It doesn't exist. It could be damage to your AC joint, i.e. Your Acromioclavicular joint. A joint between your clavical, your scapular and humorous.
I did the same thing and it's a w*nk*r. Physio will be key. If you were told it was your "AC Bone" by a doctor, I'd seek a second opinion.
