May I ask the reason for wanting this much travel?

It's really not necessary.

But the mr big st 10 and some tanks.

I was waiting for someone to post up like that :-/ Whether or not it's necessary, he's asking a question, not asking you to ask why.

IIRC nicolai do a frame with that amount of travel- or atleast they have.

Azonic Gravity, CRC may still have them dirt cheap.  BB is a bit high but its a huck bike with that much travel.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these "Scoot" bikes I keep hearing so much about :P

Longest travel I've ever heard of is Karpiel Apocalypse. (I wouldn't say the Brooklyn Rubber Duck counted as it was a one-off and used moto shocks).

I've never seen a Nicolai cheap, on the same vein you could suggest a Brooklyn TMX or Racelink.

Coyote DH3 10"?? Only if you fit a stupid long shock, rumour is that logic applies to all bikes...  :P

And finally, your cheapest bet is probably the Scott High Octane or Mr Big ST10.

There's a Marin DH bike with between 6 and 10" of travel.  They go cheap on ebay from time to time.

Here's one for sale $350.

V10 gets my vote simply becuase i have owned an 06/08 and ridden an 04 and they are all awsome. i didn't like my mates tank zeus that much as it was quite high (but i lokk for race bikes so the tank may be what your after)
