Right, i've failed to turn up the other thread i was on about though if you use the search button there are a fair few others.
As mentioned above they do seem to track the floor very well but don't seem to get bogged down in stuff with over active suspension. I can still skip over the top of rock gardens etc.
When i first got mine running a manitou 6-way it seriously liked to get airborne off everything, i've now shimstacked the 6-way which has made the suspension more supple and active with a little less pop off things. It still jumps very well though and is nice and balanced and controllable in the air.
With the shock being quite high up i definitely noticed the difference in handling putting a Ti spring on which brings the center of gravity down a bit.
With the setup i'm running mine is around the 38/39lbs mark. (i measured it at 38.?? when it was running hones but i've changed bars stem cranks and saddle since then)
It corners really well but i'm not good enough to get the most out of it. As mentioned before about it tracking through rocks i'm not the best of riders but i can consistantly hit the same line (within an inch) through gethin rock garden so it can't be bad at all.
I'm not sure if the floating brake arm on mine makes a difference as i've not ridden it without. I'll order some new drop-outs at some point and try it. The spherical bearings on the brake arm do wear so it starts to rattle a bit but that's inevitable.
As far as i'm aware mine's on it's origional bearings in the pivots but they're a standard size so will be cheap and easy to replace when the time comes.
as for reliability, i had 2 days notice i was going to the mega and only got the bike out the shed the day before and it was fine the whole time i was out there with no mechanicals.
As you can tell I'm pretty happy with mine, I'm trying to think of any negatives but it does what it says on the tin really. If you're after a single pivot frame then it's highly recommended. As for the single pivot vs vpp/maestro/dw arguments, there's a million threads on different forums with that argument for you to make your mind up.
