Title: Not again......
Post by: JLo on August 25, 2008, 14:28:34 PM
Nothing major, just dislocated my shoulder again. Thats like 4 or 5 times in 6 months.

I got slammed whilst surfing, not really sure how or what happened but I managed to damage my favourite board as well. Supposed to be seeing the specialist when I get back, it looking more and more like surgery now. Bugger its rheola in 2 weeks as well!

You'll have to give me your 224 now.  Good luck getting it sorted man, I hope for your sake they can sort it out without surgery.

Cheers man, its just really getting me down, it been getting worse over the past month and its just terrible now. And to top it off, I just took my last 2 prescription painkillers!

I think surgery atm is probably the best option, I just want to get it sorted long term, and physio worked for a month but then failed.

If you are wanting to go to rheola, and they can sort it without sugery surely you would rather wait and have surgery after ?

How long do you think it would take before your back out on the bike again if surgery is necessary ?

Hope everythings fixed soon  :)

That's really not cool james...I'd definitely go for the long term option, will probably save hassles.

Cheers mate. If I do have surgery I will be put on the waiting list, which will take ages. I should be ok for Rheola as long as I don't crash on it. I am normally ok racing with injuries, once adrenaline has kicked in I wont notice it!

Again! I remember reading the topic of the snapped sunn, the root of all these problems.

I take it surgery is shortening the ligaments so it stays in?

Nah I recovered from that. This was a simple over the bars moment. My new bike turned up and I was racing the next day. My first run was the first time I rode it, on my 3rd run I took on a friend down the first straight (I was racing 4x) and got out of shape and hit the deck. Dislocated it and tore the rotator cuff.
