i a little tip to all dirt jumpers and bikers that wanna have fun. get yourself a trampoline and a tramp bike, its awesome fun plus great for learing tricks. i learnt bar spins, x-ups, huge no footers, suicide no handers, a nothing, heel clickers and many more tricks.......

get an old bike, strip it bear so you have a frame and forks left, cover it with foam on the sharp pats and use larg zip ties to hold the foam in place,, price=cheap fun=never ending

what i dont understand is what happens when you bounce? how do you stop the bike from bouncing up to hit you?

i did that ages ago on my bed on a half built azonic and almost bounced out of the window... its not the same as actually jumping with pedals is it?
all good but pleeeease tame those no footers would you

Need to get some bmx cranks, or two non-drive side mtb cranks, and put them on, and some v8's etc. without the pins, padded if necessary. Makes it just that bit more realistic, and means you can try to actually land with your feet in the right places.

yeah doing it with pedals is waaaay better! my effort/my friend...

lol nice, kid you not a girl who lives over the back here has one almost under my bathroom window, big blue and black one..  thought of the jump but theres also a gap and a 7ft fence to clear.. not too clever in the dark and then theres where the hell we would bounce to if we made it..  probably into her kitchen or bathroom  :(

to bounce and stop the bike shmashing u nuts u have to land with your feet at the same time as the bike then the bike doesnt fling up at ya, its actually mega easy to get used to, after about 10 mins practice u will be awesome lol.

Yeah it looks great fun, my mate has a 14FT trampoline but his parents wont let us do it, they think its dangerous  >:(

I really wanna do some hardcore trampolining (on bikes that is!) as it certainly looks a laff!

The forks on my Bmx went through the foam and made loads of tiny holes in my trampoline before I realised..... now I scared of bouncing incase I fall through it!

I would lov to try a trampoline bike unfourtunately i dont ahve a trampoline. I think that some one should make a really cheap mass produced bike specially for trampolines.
Using a bike in a pool under water is another thing to do for a bit of a laugh.

i thought about doin it at my mates house but they will proberaly say that it is will damage the tramoline or be dangerous

Nice stuff. I've built my self a tramp bike a while back and like someone said, although i covered the whole thing in a loads of foam poadding etc, it still put many scratches on my trampoline and a few holes. It is great for getting used to the movement of tricks, but come to do them for real and its a different matter IMO. Great fun though.

if u want to stop the dropouts going through the padding and into the trampoline i shal tell u how. take the padding off, find some old hosepipe and cut about 3 quatres of a ft off per drop out off. then cut slits in one side of each bit of hose for about half the length in the middle. then slide the drop outs into it, cut little holes in the ends and thread some wire through it and wire it up to the fram so it is tight. do this to them all, and put the padding on again.
 

i just used pieces of wood over the dropouts the covered it all in foam ;D

i tried a bike flip and the dropout smashed me in the lip. try a bike barrel role and then do a superman with the bike upside down it is mad

lol that looks so much fun i want to do it, my mates got a trampoline and wevew anted to do it for years, even when ewe wernt riding it still sounded fun, however we havnt got a bike to do it on, guan hae to go down 'tut skip and find one i suppose sometime, unless i can find an old x-ile or something for sale, id jsut properly plaster it in foam bubble wrap, tape, love, clothing, blood etc .

Kind of defeats the whole point of making it realistic so you can instantly transfer what you're learnt to jumps, doesn't it?

Not really as it doesnt really tech you how to do tricks over a double anyway, just the movements for a certain trick. It jsut means you can get higher, and your feet will be kind of in the right place.

iv never had any cranks on it or anything to even simulate the foot positions... just makes it harder to do stupid things.

yer and id love to see the forks on pymns face as he puts it through his look.

i seen biking trampolinin in moutain biking a couple of months back

Trampoline biking is the best ever, except i got hole in it now, so has matt, we now have no where to do it :'(

need a new trampoline mat any body know about pro stiching and mat repairs? (apart from duck tape and some cotton)

hey hey i have just ordered a 13ft trampoline!! i deff gonna get a tramp bike but hearding about holes in the matt and that can any of you people out there tell me best thing to put on the bike? foam, bubble wrap LOADS of duck tape, tea towel ????

I have bad memories of trampoline biking... building up my old Saracen for that purpose the only forks I had were some rusty old RSTs. And so, bouncing away, off comes the top cap and the spring goes smack into my cheek.

That was on my friends trampoline, his parents weren't too happy!

Your best bet for keeping the mat ok is to  get a large old ground mat or a sheet that you put in the car to keep it clean and lie it loosly over the tampoline. Then tie it down at the corners to the springs, rails or whatever. It keep the mat hole free.
