Hadley Rear Hub Rebuild
« on: January 26, 2006, 18:13:34 PM »

I have a Hadley bolt through rear hub on my Foes, there's a little bit of play in it now. Is it possible to get spares and rebuild it yourself ? I fitted new bearings to my Hope bulb, is it as basic as this ?
I searched on google but couldn't find anything.

Cheers.  Smiley

Hi... after trying for ages to get into the hub....I was told you need a 'special tool' to strip the hub......so i gave up and sent mine off to NW mtb centre...

give them a call on 0161 428 3311 they are really helpfull and will be able to  advise better than me!

You could try dropping the guys at Balle racing, ( http://www.balleracing.com,) an E-mail. They carry quite a lot of spares too, and were very knowledgable when I had a hub enquiry. I also remember Andy Kyffin giving an in depth Hadley rear hub service chat in an old issue of Dirt from a couple of years back. If you have any old copies, try going through them.

 Grin
I'm with Cromozone on this.
My Super 8 had a Hadley and as he says long pointy pin pliers and screw driver.
I got hold of Andy Kyffin at North West Mountain Biking Centre and he sent me a manual/photocopy of how to strip down , service and put back together.
Give 'em a ring and I'm sure they'll help.

Cheers.
