Sounds good, what is your club called and are you affiliated to B.C.?
How many members do you have and where do you ride, meet etc? Grin

No not at all I was just interested about your club etc. No worries. I just wondered if you were affiliated so that you had insurance cover. Your web site looks very good. Well done 17 members.  Grin

Contact membership services on 0161 274 2010 who will advise you of the procedure, and will send you all the necessary information and forms to complete. For a non-commercial team there is an annual fee of £82.50. For a commercial team (any team linked to a company e.g. Fred Bloggs Cycles) the cost is £165.00 (including £57.50 for the sponsorship fee of the team name). Sponsorship is £57.50 per sponsor for the first four sponsors. Each additional sponsor is free. In return, we offer all sorts of club support programmes, including membership promotions, club official training and Go-Ride's many activity/coaching/marketing options.
From BC site.

The advantage of being affiliated is that you have the insurance cover for your club and good support from B.C.
The first year is the most expensive, after that there are reductions in the affiliation fee for every member you have of B.C.
I also think that B.C. give you some free bronze memberships to distribute to your volunteers. Every region has a B.C. manager, if you get in touch with B.C. they will tell you who your regional manager is and they would help you set up an official club. Good luck whatever you decide to do.  Grin

Take care forming a club without insurance could land you in hot water. A group of friends you may get away with it, but if someone gets hurt on a ride you have organised wouldnt want to be you in this day and age. Smiley

Ive told everyone and tols them again it isnt myn or the clubs responsibility. We are mostly all from the same area anyway so we could get away with a group of friends.

fair enough but you need to know that disclaimers etc count for nothing if someone did try to sue you. Have fun and think about it as soon as you can get it together.
