Good - There was always paper in the toilets. The course. Having Ae Line to go and play on. Bad - Wendy Chambers' race time didn't get posted on the results board, and Monet Adams' was buried under other sheets 'til I dug out out. A hark back to the old days and my constant nag... Women are just as much racers as men (and pay the same)... There was no veggie spot on the grill on the pie wagon, so no egg rolls for bob "Kids in America" on the PA - Jason Brennan must be shot! Midges.

The big cut in the front of my leg
Wimp! Good: Transport was superb. Practice starting early. Nice flowing track, completely different to round 1. A large number of very fast riders. Dans one hander into the finish. Bad: The uphill before the finish - not really bad, just could have been better! Mikrotime timing. The SDA were approached to do the scottish rounds but for whatever reason were not able/willing to cover it. Just to point out here that I do not know the reason why the SDA system was not used other than that it was the preferred option of SPS. Mikrotime were instead drafter in for the first two rounds with timing that is reaosnable if not outstanding. I have no hesitation in believing that the hard results are 100% accurate but that times are omitted from the live board, and that the times vary from the board to the paper, that causes concern and in effect negates the value of the live board. if the SDA can create a live timing board that does not appear to haev any major issues such as this then how come Mikrotime, who have been doing this many years, have not changed in the last 5 years since they were last covering NPS DH races and where the same problems still occurred. The problem for SPS events is that there would be little other option. Still, we get back to pearce timing for the final 3 rounds. Aside from that, I felt that the event went pretty well. The weather kept everybody on their toes and the transport was killer. Can\\\'t really complain as so much of it was good, more make suggestions to improve the final 10% that really will put it to the top of the list.
