Auto extension seatpost?

Existing market offerings have only a small amount of drop, why not make a telescopic one that drops more than these.

You could make it so it is actuated by an old sis style shifter that is mounted in the middle of your handle bars so you can ram your seat up and down by the flick of a cable on your bars.

I'm not going to design it for you but think about utilising the pneumatic ram in an adjustable office chair or a bonnet/boot lifter  Wink

this idea sounds pretty good, dunno if its too complicated fo you though??

A workshop stand that you can take to races that attaches to a towbar or trailer.
Uplift trailer to be towed behind a car. Can use it as a bile rack/transporter thing to get to the tracks and an uplift trailer when you're there.

The twist with this is that it has a hardtop fold-away canopy so that your bikes are secure when you stop off for your Ginsters on the motorway, but can still get your bikes on and off easily when you're doing uplifts.

You're welcome  Grin
Funnily enough that is just what i was thinking of doing so I was going to post ti but you two beat me to it.  I'll draw up some designs and post it.

I reckon it has potential.. You could use a shutter style cover on runners, like they have on some garage doors. Solid walls on either side, then a sort of arched frame down the length of the trailer, and the shutter top runs along that, and folds away at the back of the trailer when you're not using it.

Just a thought, I'm sure there are lots of ways of doing it, but if I remember my DT project correctly you have to make up loads of ways to do it just so you can reject them all and prove your idea is the best!

Already been done, nearly 10 years ago by my ride. Grin
