Esher damage!!! :]
« on: July 12, 2007, 15:01:59 PM »

A couple of mates and i were up at esher shore on yesterday. One of my mates wanted to give the stumpjumper a go, i told him not to but he ended up having a go and now i have every right to tell him not to again  Grin. He went wayy to fast over it and over shot it, cound't make the turn and went face first into another piece of shore. even though he had a full face on he smashed his nose and lip in. after a trip to the hospital he came out with a broken arm and a scratched/cut up face. I wanted to get a pic but he seemed in too much pain for me to take one. he's ok now, just out of riding for like 4 weeks. Unlucky  Wink

P.S just a quick thanks to the guy at freeborn for helping him out Wink cheers

How did he get a scratched up face wearing a full face helmet? Which helmet was it? and also was it the right size?

Hope hes all good soon  Grin he will laigh at it when hes fixed. And it cant be that bad a break, 4 weeks is no time at all.

yeah i don't think it was a bad break at all but 4 weeks off the bike must be well annoying. The helmet was a bell bellistic, and yeah i don't quite understand how his face was hit??? but hey, he probably will laugh at the end of it  Grin

4 weeks off seems a very short amount of time, normally breaks take around 6 weeks+ to heal, even if it is a good break

ouch! sounds nasty.

everyone thats saying 4 weeks is nothing, isnt really right. i broke my arm year and a half ago, snapped it quite badly in one place, and chipped the other bone right on my wrist joint, yet i was told id be in a cast for 6+ weeks, and no riding for a week+ after it was off. Yet when i came to get the cast changed at 3 weeks, it was healed enough to not warrent another cast, and i was riding esher shore 3 days after the cast was off.  Tongue Embarrassed

but anyway good luck bud!

i was in a sling for over 4 weeks and couldnt ride for another 3months  after that when i broke my collar bone. They said i could be horse riding in 2 weeks on the day that i did it. Shows how this can work either way.
