ye kneeing the stem does hurt but 2 things that easily beat it!!
1. braking your hip and walking half a mile!!
2. jumping into a foam pit with super soft boxxers and your front wheel dips off the ramp and the bike gets stuck in the foam and you land balls first into the back off it!!

In no particular order,

a bad reaction to an overperscribed dose of declofenac after 4 days tkaing it (my god that hurt)

ripping most of the skin off my lower legs in a crash, women in labour had nothign on me.

pissing blood, felt more like pisisng battery acid.

playin rugby on a broken ankle hurt, but i was determined to get one more try over the line.

Yeh, that and shin n pedal smashing...........ouch, makes me shudder  Sad

Then again nailing your knee on the stem sucks cause you get a dead leg while flyin dwn a trail, 1 leg's flyin all over the place while you try n hold on with only 1 foot on the pedal lol  Cheesy

just read another post frm someone saying hittin you're knee on the stem is like hitting you're funny bone, painful but you can't stop laughin.......too bloody true!!!!!!!!!! Sad

Sucks as well cause as you're trying to deal with the pain, you're askin yourself 'why the hell am I laughin?' and yet you can't stop lol  Cheesy

Im ok i have knee pads that are attached to my shin pads but ive never hit my stem

this needs to be tested, cos i really do think knee-ing the stem is THE most painful thing to do....EVER. i have a small stress mark on my stem from knee-ing it!! that seriously hurt, it managed to wind me. also, similar sort of injury, spinning on your seat in IT at school, smaking your knee on the corner of the table leg, bloody hell, the pain literally was unbearable. it paralyzed me, cudnt say anything or move, just curled up on the floor. 5 minutes later, absolutely fine, not even a bruise

i admit that kneeing the stem is pretty painful but the worst pain i've experienced is when i headbutted the stem with my front teeth, breaking them in half and dislodging them. that hurt!

tearing your kidney is really sore and its a horrible pain too. to start with its like being winded but 5x worse and takes age to go away. and then it starts to feel like a kidney punch but 5x worse and constantly not fading at all. and when you stay still for a while it hurts klike buggery. i had to ride about another 200m vertially down some off camber bending the way it hurt my kidney. and over rough bits it hurts like crazy. had to skid on the wet grass at the bottom. Still having fun with a crazy amount of pain Grin

Got from walking into A+E on a friday night to a bed in a ward in under an hour and a half Smiley proberly down to can i have a urine sample, yeh sure, er just have a seat in the waiting room and someone will be with you in a minute Roll Eyes

I did the knee stem thing after a chain slip, swelled up and went purple, whats worse though, I did the same thing a minute later, same knee, same square edged stem, it got so swollen my leg got really stiff I couldn't pedal!

i recon pedal slipping is worse than kneeing the stem i was on my ht and went to endo and missed the break some how and slipped the pedal and broke my toe nail and did some fair damage to my leg
