(where the root bank is that i stalled on and had to jump off)

That would be it!

There are like 2 main drops, Not huge. You can roll up to them at walking speed and still get down them. Theres another before a steam crossing near the bottom. Which is pretty sketchy- I crashed everytime I did it...

LOL sketchy bit of track sorry mate......i was behind you for a while but as it was a praccy day i didnt wanna hassle anybody by screaming "rider".
You went left i went for the bigger line (those roots make a nice kicker that means you clear the dodgy stumps) i was committed and didnt think you 2 where gonna stop in the middle of the track, hit the anchors and stalled half way up.......i did make an effort not to land on your head though

Would someone who is going ( i can't) make sure Al does the 2nd log drop in his race run!  Wink
The drop was fine, but I looked and looked and looked at the big rock after and rode into it.... oops! I will do it on my run, I promise Smiley

I'll be watching, my home course aswell, Managed to split some 888s down the side lol. Its a proper mint course, basically be loose on the bike. and theres no really hard featurs on the course, even in the wet it can be pretty much flat out. in the dry expect to wear throught a set of tyres! haha

I love the course

gutted aint riding!

You don't get a race weekend much better than that!  Dry, sunny, awesome track and a beautiful valley at the bottom.  Grin

Although the local residents didn't seem too happy we were there, anyone see the graffitied sign on the way in on the sunday?  Hope that doesn't affect the chance of racing there next year

What did it say? I did not see it. I know there was some tension with the chap who owns the house towards the uplift (all that tape - some people were doing cutties into his verge, which upset up - fair enough) and with people trying to come up to the venue for picnics with the family, only to find 400 mtbers filling the area.

It was just a sign, and someone had graffiti'd (sp?) "Don't come again" on it.

Also anyone know anything about an illegal rave up their? On the way up the police stopped me and searched my car etc, claiming that their was to be an illegal rave. Must have thought i was a raver hah!

I could imagine that to a resident up by the Skirrid Inn might have seen all the cars and vans coming into the lane and though something odd was happening so called the police. You would think the police would have known the race was on, but hey ho.

Fair enough getting annoyed with riders doing cutties on the verge next to your garden but its one day a year they cant walk their dogs and the police have to come and a right fuss picks up.
I didnt really see what happened so fill me in if im jumping to conclusions, its just i think that they should just see it that we are only there for 1 out of 365 days when they can walk their dog?
