Me and a mate went up there a few years ago in the week and there was a full on rave goin on in one of the fields by the river on the way to the car park, so it must be a popular spot for peeps to get off their faces and throw some shapes! We went by at about 11am and everyone was fecked but still goin for it! Grin

I can totally understand why local residents have a problem with us being there. Fair play the majority of riders are sound but there are some TOTAL idiots involved in our sport who care about nothing but themselves, I was witness to some s**t behaviour over the weekend and it just pisses me right off when a venue as amazing as mynydd du is endangered by the idiotic behaviour of a few people who think they are rock'n'roll because they ride downhill. If you are one of these people please kindly f-k off.

Abusing marshals is not clever and not cool.

Just because you happen to think you are a good rider doesn't mean you can abuse someone who is slower than you or blatantly push into uplift queues.

Ripping up a lawn owned by someone who obviously takes a lot of pride in their house on the way to your uplift is not big and not clever.  Why should that person "just let it go" because its one day a year, would you like it if someone came and trashed your garden once a year?

Rant over..

Top weekend all the same, if only all the tracks we rode were that good..

The drivers that used to do the uplift at Wentwood are farmers from Mynydd Du, and they said there are quite a lot of raves going on up there - look at it from the ravers' point of view, it's quiet and well out of the way so little chance of causing a ruckus and getting busted.

As for the people doing cutties and arsing off the local bloke - grow up you sad fucks.

But did anyone do it?

Have to say I'd like to see it done, that's a pretty gnarly run in/take off/gap/landing/run out.  Grin
