Yeah was awesome. The track was amazing!
I thought the whole weekend was excellent, the camp site was great, the atmosphere was great the finnish arena was like something from Narnia or Lord of the Rings!
One of things I thought made it excellent was the commentating on Sunday, it really was great to hear a new voice (not that we're tired of Jasons!) that was really enthusiastic.
The only bad thing about it was just the attitude of the non-Dragon people in the campsite, one or two were quite cool and were really interested in seeing the racing, however some just took no interest made some massive fires (when it was obvious there was nowhere sensible for fires to be lit) and the mini bikes were just one hellava pain in the arse.
But then these guys I guess were there of their own accord and they certainly wouldn't have checked out the Dragon website before coming.
Its just a shame when I got cornered by a farmer in a van who just looked at me in my full race kit and said sternly 'This is going to the Nationals you know'. At first I thought he meant Caersws

then I realised he meant the papers and I thought- crikey thats a bit over the top. I mean when you compare it to say the chaos at the MX Des Nations last year then it pales into insignificance. I guess the locals need to be educated that the majority of the problems weren't with DH racers, it was the combination of people already there and the DH crowd turning up.
Could we have it on a weekend that wasn't a bank holiday- maybe this would help? I guess its a track that needs a rest afterward but I might go some way to aleviating the problems.
Other than that it was the best race weekend Ive done this year, cracking! Such an amazing track!
