Isn't it caused by clothes chaffing? I'd choose your underwear/shorts well
Oh yeah, me being a numpty! It sound's jey but I always wear lycra shorts when riding anything (usually underneath baggies). So much more comfy, I dont get why others dont? I where some Lycra running shorts under my padded riding shorts too, which dose reduce it to an extent. I like the look of the Fizik Gobi. Do they only come in one size, and how do you go about measuring your ass? I know you have to measure how far apart you sit bones are, but dose that measurement determine the saddle size. Andy.

get yer arse to a specialised dealer ... its probably too late now but that helps loads get some assos minty arse lard too that helps as i do alot of miles i ended up getting my saddle specially constructed for me. its very odd shaped and gets lots of strange looks ... usually as i pass them can do 100k off road in a day nae bother without a sore bum I want pictures I had a quick blast on one of my customers Specialized roadie and i was quite impressed with the saddle on that. I pass a Specialised dealer in Chatham so i will give that a go. How much do they charge for custom saddles? Cheers, Andy.

find a soft cushion the right size and fix it to your 'area' with a generous amount of gaffer tape, smiles for miles
Hey i got the perfect cushion, just the right size, and plenty of gaffa tape. I'll give that a go tomorrow. Cheers mate. WAIT A MINUIT! You are having a laugh at my expense, arn't you I left this page open at work, and apparently this thread had my boss in stitches. Cheers, Andy.

spesh saddles aint custom ...they are just availible in three different widths to suit different shapes of arse i had mine built by a good mate whos into all this body geometry and kinematics s**t and its the comfiest saddle ive ever had That doesn't look to odd, dose look comfortable though. I'll definitely have a look at the Specialized saddles next time i am passing my local dealer. My problem could all be down to a crappy saddle, as it came of an old Giant Boulder. Been wanting to replace it for ages but kept finding other things to by instead. I really have my priorities right......NOT! Cheers, Andy.
