Maximum fork travel
« on: October 20, 2007, 08:39:20 AM »

I am looking for some new forks for my Spes enduro. I bought it with 150mm of travel but I was wondering how far I could take the travel before I put too much stress on my frame.

I am also looking for a coil rear shock, does anyone know what size an enduro takes.

Thanks v. much

seconded 160mm seems fine as many upgraded to fox vans 160mm fork.

you should never really go above 10mm more than a frame is designed to cope with imho.

I've got a s-works enduro with 150mm Z1's and can't see why you'd want more than that!

As for rear shock, you'd need 8.75 x 2.5 if it's an '05 on. I've got a push'd van R on mine and prefer it to the fifth and dhx5 air I had on it previously.

yeah, on second thoughts something like a 36 with 160 mm travel would be nice, in the middle of what i initially said and what you have.
