Guys,

Have any of you had any experiences with these -

http://www.donjoy.eu/en_US/detail_UpperExtremity2_13796_16099.html

I'm due a second operation on my shoulder on the 24th of December and after the surgery im considering getting something like this to help stabilise my shoulder when im playing sport.

The initial operation was to put a plate over my clavicle to help it heal after a b'tard of a break.  Now im having the plate removed, but in the time between operations I've had huger problems with my shoulder joints, and have suffered 3 acromioclavicular separations.

This seems to fit the bill, but £150 is a hell of a lot of money, so im looking for some recommendations!

Cheers,
Dan

Their website says they only do knee braces...And to be honest, their prices are way out of what I can afford.  £150 is pushing it, let alone £700 odd.

Cheers anyway.

I cant really help but ..http://www.donjoy.eu/en_US/detail_UpperExtremity2_13796_16099.html

That one looks like you wont be able to fit a t-shirt over the top because of the back strap.

Have a look around general mx stores as well.

Just got an email back from the company who said that they think it's very appropriate for my injuries.  The guy also said it's the only product of it's type on the market that they're aware of.

Which would explain why I cant find ny others! Im gonna get one, but it'll hve to wait for a while.

Brought this back up as I've now bought the brace and though there might be a few people interested in what I think of it.

For a start, each of the straps is adjustable and removable, for the injury I had, an Acromioclavicular separation the strap joining the brace and the upper arm to restrict movement of the arm away from the body (abduction) is not needed, so I've taken it off, meaning that it fits nicely under clothes, and my armour

It took a while to get the straps comfortable, but once I managed it, it just felt like wearing armour, so not really a problem.

I havent ridden in it yet, but will be on weds, so I'll post up again then.
