i have a Sony Handy cam that records on to DVD in VOB. format, (mpg2), movie maker doesnt like it, and another programme i try using is a programme called magix movie editor.

my computers ram isnt large ebnough to operate, but it was cheap.

but firstly my sony has stopped finalising the DVDs and my computer doesnt read them :S, suggestions?

anyway, i just need some clear explantation of which video editing software that would be suitable to last me a long time with out repeating the same techiniques, i have arounds £80 to spend on a programme but need asome help... any ideas?

Please help me

You should try the Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 Trail from the Adobe website. Most real films are edited using Premiere Pro. However, it's extremely expensive and takes a lot of learning to use right.
