'It's All About The Head Angle'
« on: December 09, 2007, 11:58:40 AM »

Hey guys,

Here's a video from this year's riding. There is one editing mistake near the end with a credit covering the screen for a few secs, but to correct it and re-upload for that reason would be a waste of time.
Let me know what you think, and how I could possibly make it more interesting, or how to end it more smoothly.

Thanks in advance

Just using a digital camera taped to our lids.

Cookie... There was about 5 seconds of sped up in the cwm carn section, and if there wasn't any effects, I may as well have just uploaded the raw video. thanks for your constructive criticism. not.

Mate you have to take the ruff with the smooth. I don't speed up or slow down any of my vid's are there's no need for it.

I used the few seconds of sped up, to try and add some variety, I don't know whether it's that I've seen the 5 minutes of cwm carn video over and over so many times while I've been editing has only made it boring for me, but a full track, with no effects or variation can get really tedious.

I understand your point, but the speeding up is obviously not to make us look faster, as i have seen in many other videos, it is purely to keep the watcher interested.

Thanks, and sorry if I sounded abrasive earlier.

good video mate, i like the use of different angles on the bike with your cam. if only you had a slightly better cam as the jumpyness of the vid did get a bit tedious. but on the whole, not a bad video  Grin

I thought the split head-cam and forks cam was sweet.

A little jumpy on the camera, but it wasn't a big problem.

Musics alittle heavy for me, but that personal preferance so stick with what you like.

As far as the speeding bits up goes, if its making you bored while you edit the film then it probably shouldn't be there. As it goes i didn't think it was a big problem, it was obvious that you weren't just trying to look faster.

Nice vid, keep it up.

Nice vid!

I was wondering, where and how did you mount the fork camera?

Righty ho, Here's how it fits to my bike, it was a bit tough with only one camera. but what can't you do with MS paint?

My bike's design lets me do this, but i'm sure on other bikes you'd be able to fit it somewhere similar. I just attatch it with electrical tape which works well.

you get the idea..

let me know how you get on if you try it.
