a big thankyou
« on: December 25, 2007, 13:39:29 PM »

i would like to start by saying a huge thankyou to all those who helped me out at the race on sunday... you all know who you are.
also the EX medics who got me the the air ambulance and the paramedics in the chopper.
i ow you all i pint.
you all should get medals.

i am also very sorry to all that did not do their second runs. i ballsed up ya day and that to me feels worse then my injuries. sorry.

i broke the bottom right 3 ribs and bruised the kidney, as blood was found in the urine test. spent the night in hospital. did try to go home that night, but i stood up and got the biggest head rush you can imagine so promptly fainted.
am currently on every type of painkiller imaginable. thats the only reason i can sit infront of this computer.

all i can say is wear ya body armor, but i no no-one will listen. one day you'll get the idea.

i think a big thankyou to Dave from everyone is needed, it was a great day out for everyone, especially after having such a long period without racing - so thankyou Dave Smiley

again i offer my appologies to everyone. you'll be glad to know i wont be racing for at least 3 months. so sais the doctor. to be honest i don't know if i can even get on a bike again.

thanks to everyone Smiley

Glad you are feeling better, drugs are a wonderful thing Grin

Glad you liked the Chopper ride though you looked slightly worried when we lifted you in. lol

But did you spot the female doctor/para medic on the chopper???

Was so tempted to collapse myself , but knowing my luck Jamie from Extreme Medics would have revived me.

Dont worry about the loss of 2nd runs , any racer realises it could be them!!

Look forward to seeing you back racing

Hey Tom, Very glad to hear youre alright.

Despite the light hearted banter to cheer you up, we were all proper worried about you. And dont worry about the medals, I know you would have done the same for any of us. Wouldnt say no to the pint though :-)

Hopefully see you out Haldon again soon, wear ur armour!
