Who fancies a bit of this then? Super-D/Enduro - France
« on: March 14, 2008, 16:17:08 PM »

Some of you may have heard of Super-D racing (it's a bit like the Mega but not), well as far as I can tell this is France's equivalent:-

Tribesport Enduro Series

I'm thinking about doing it and could do with sharing it with someone to spread the costs, I haven't asked anyone of the guys I usually ride with yet but thought I'd put it out to the wider audience as a bit of publicity for the series and see what sort of response I get - it may be worth organizing something if it gets a lot.

I'm going to do the first one* and see how things go - this could extend to the rest of the series if it's good.

MAY, 10 & 11       Place : METABIEF       Price : 49 Eur
JUNE, 28 & 29      Place : ALLOS            Price : 49 Eur
JULY,26 & 27         Place : VARS             Price : 49 Eur  - THIS IS A NIGHT RACE!!
AUGUST, 2 & 3      Place : VALLOIRE      Price : 49 Eur
AUGUST, 16 & 17  Place : LES 2 ALPES  Price : 49 Eur

Prices look pretty cheap and it doesn't look like a long weekend would cost much more than a few hundred quid

Rough, back of a fag packet costs:-

Entry - £35
Flight - £80 out of Birmingham
Car - £150 between however many
Accom - £Cheap - it's a small resort and it's massively out of season
Food - £20-30 a day
Bits - I try not to break stuff. . .

For a taste of the series here's a little report from the king of Super-D- Mark Weir

FMF Enduro Series - Mark Weir's experience (FMF was what it used to be called)

Please post here if you're interested.

Cheers

Gary
