« on: April 06, 2008, 06:51:59 AM »

Just writing this on the off chance that somebody sees it and can tell me if the uplift is on. Cant get through to the park on the hotline number. Here in Wokingham theres about 3 inches of snow.

Thank goodness I went! Took me 45 mins to do the first 20 miles and then bingo no snow! Was an awesome day as per usual even without normal number of runs being available (well er only ladder alley and some of the bus stops). Thanks to all those manning the bike trailers- you did a sterling job!

Sorry you couldn't get through, on Uplift day we're normally up early running about like mad men. If we ever did have to cancel then 1st priority would be posting on the usual websites.

Could well understand, you wouldn't want to risk a drive from Wokingham for nowt!

This is what greeted me when I got the top of the hill yesterday!
Also found to near Hyperthermic youths huddled in a port-a-loo!
There's nothing like an early start eh?  Grin

We're doing more uplift driver training which may have led to the odd ramdom moment yesterday, hope y'all enjoyed the Hagglunds rides too!

Thanks to all that came...

No ladder alley or bus stops? Sad Are these going to be open next weekend Ali? I know its strictly a race weekend but its always good to have a deviation around the park just keep yourself air bound. Grin

Sorry! My bad, I actually meant- Log Jam, didn't mean ladder alley at all!
The bus stops on the fire road were open, but were looking a tad wierd/soft as were the doubles on that stretch, all part of the bedding in process I know!

Thanks for clearing that up.

Hopefully a spell of dry and cold weather this week will bed everything in nicely.

There's still lumpy soft bits all over the park, this uplift was the first riding alot of the new stuff has seen.

Lot's of hand shaping/filling/tweaking needs doing everywhere that was hit by the digger (less then 3 weeks ago), give it a little time and we'll have things back in shape.

Any slow uplift turn arounds were probably due to the driver training we had going on, it's not normally that slow even at race practice!
As always, we're working on making things better.... Smiley
