But on my collarbone plate there's indent in the skin for every screw hole  Not cool.  I was told by the doctors that I got really unlucky with the amount of pain I've ended up with.

I've had 2 12" steel plates with 10 screws each.  The main problem is the lack of flesh actually covering your collarbone.  If it was buried it wouldn't be such a problem, but that's why they generally try to avoid the op if possible...that and there's a big bundle of nerves running under the bone that can cause major problems if they get damaged.

ok glad to hear this because my friend who has a big plate runing up both legs say they give you a drug that makes you loose most of your feeling from the legs down or in my case nek down and then when that wears of its like the worst pain ever, but he proberbly just trying to scare me( or  i hope he dose) how long did your op take rootes ( i think it was you who said they had one on each colarbone if not then who ever it was )

wonder drug they gave me loads didnt do a thing felt exactly the same

was wel gutted wanted to get off me tits   haha

Morphine didn't really effect me a huge amount.

The best thing is using Gas and Air to breathe normally for 5 minutes, it makes you feel pi**ed as.

just got back from hospital, op tomorow, think i might be geting two plates put on the bone but cant remember what the doctor said

oh well ill proberbly have that done and nope ill ask for some when im there tonight but all you can see is just one part of the bone over the other by about 2 or 3cm

yeah he said it was on the borderline but because the top bone it stuk on the bone underneeth and  pushing up into skin it could push thru skin and they could leve it but if it dosent come down they would have to operate anyway so just best to do it now
