No need to be like that Al, Just pointing out a small 'fault' on the website.

And I'll probably receive minus karma for this thread now.

You pointed out an issue, I pointed out a solution. Why is there no need for that?

So here it says... Price wanted threads "should not be posted in this forum"http://www.southerndownhill.com/forum/index.php/topic,51431.0.html

Although there is whole sticky'd thread about "price wanted".
http://www.southerndownhill.com/forum/index.php/topic,54063.0.html

Pretty daft telling peple not to do so by one mod, but then a whole other thread allowing it.

Just thought i'd point it out so it can be re-word'd

Craig

It's the whole point of the thread to keep it all in one place, instead of every one posting "How much iz it werf?" threads left right and centre.

Problem?

I think he doesn't like the wording Veero. To be fair, I can see his point, but I also know why its worded like that. I'll tell you on the mods board.

You suggested such a over the top action. a simple re-wording would of done perfect.

Fair enought but its a bit silly having a rule and not sticking to it?

Why not say "Please do not post price wanted threads in this section, Please post them in this thread..... http://www.southerndownhill.com/forum/index.php/topic,54063.0.html

Err, hang on. When I suggested sticking to it, and removing all wanted posts you got arsey, yet now you say we should... I'm confused.

The way i meant it is i see where your coming from. BUT a simple re-wording would easliy solve the problem rather than taking a more dramtic action.

And maybe next time i find a 'hitch' like this i will keep it to my self rather than suggest it as an improvement to the website, just to stop another rant about nothing.

Or perhaps just word it a bit better. Calling us "pretty daft" is never a good way to try and make your point.

I never said you did, perhaps it is you need to learn to read properly. The word "us" describes a group, not a singular.

Please, quit digging.

I'm quite interested to know..
It's nothing to do with me and I don't want to wind you up anymore but shouldnt it be:

"should not be posted in this forum board" that way it only refers to the for sale section.

 Undecided

Is it a bad idea to have a price wanted section? I don't know but I'm sure theres a reason why there isn't one..

Edit: thinking about it, it's probably because there isn't a price that something is worth. It's only worth what someone will pay for it. And I suppose it causes arguments.
