Blacklisting - Idea.
« on: April 27, 2008, 08:45:22 AM »

Can we have a thread to explain why people are blacklisted?

Just think it may help so as to see what they have done and whether it is worth dealing with them,,

Do you mean a thread with a list with every body that is blacklisted and the reasons why?

Or do you mean you want an explanation into how people people are blacklisted?

If its the first one, i think maybe something in there profile would be better.

But to be fair you could say the same thing about karma.

Would most likely end up in a huge bitch fest with both parties claiming the explanation invalid or untrue.

It's best to just not deal with them untill the blacklisting has been removed. That way when you deal with someone who's blacklisted and come back to us saying "He ripped me off!!" we don't have to say "We told you so".

I've mentioned it before, but wouldn't a references section be a good idea for the sales area?

That way, sellers/buyers can check up prospective buyers/sellers, stupid karma 'scores' don't get in the way, and there's more evidence for moderators to look at regarding complaints.

Plus, if someone is blacklisted, people can check up on their sales references to see if they are still a trustworthy seller or not.

As had been said before, this isn't ebay, and we have no plans to turn it into so.

You'll just have to rely on good old common sense im afraid!

Makes SDH liable if they recommend a seller who turns out to be a fraudster.

IIf the recommend someone who turns out to be a Scammer, SDH will be blamed for it, and if its not controlled by Mods then it will tun into a bitchfest.
