I've had Easton, Atomlab, Club Roost, VP, DMR, Wellgo, etc. pedal over many years
and easily without a doubt the best flat pedals i have used (for 2 years now) are Syncros's Mental Alloy pedals (not the cromo)
stupidly tough, insane grip, superb durability with their 4 bearing / 1 bush setup (mine are 2 years old, have been used all over UK and Canada and never even opened up), great feel with flat shoes, and are as light as DMR V-12s
expensive (around £100) but worth every penny....
just don't use the long pins because they will tear you to pieces, the short pins have more than enough grip even with a Vans shoes, let alone 5-10s
