errrr ....... what?

Chains...
« on: May 15, 2008, 20:30:35 PM »

Im looking for a new SS chain as mine came with the bike which ive had about 3 years now and im guessing has streched quite a bit. I'd like one thats strong as possible, im not worried about weight but the only problem is that it has to fit through my DMR SS kit. I roughtly measured the inside of the roller and its about 0.8 cm wide. This means i cant get one of those really thick motobike style chains which is a bummer.

So i dont want to spend too much dosh so im thinking under £25 ish. The best one ive seen (looking at the reviews) so far is this: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=12072 Is this any good? Has anyone any experience/ owned one.

Thanks in advance.

i used the reluctant half link chain which claimed to be able to take 3 tons of weight, i cant even count how many times it snapped and it was well maintained aswell, completely f**ked up my knees coz of it

utter s**t!

anyways i would recommend this: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=11284

bog normal KMC kool chain works the best.. people often snap chains from running micro gearing or slamming their sprocket, i used to snap chains all the time then i moved to left hand drive and ive not snapped one since
