Send them back and get them fixed under warranty, if they're only getting 100mm then there's a fault

its a flaw in all the ATA forks from 07/08, send them back by all means and see what windwave can do but i don't know of any fixes for this problem.

If you remove all the air you will be able to compress the fork fully, but with air this doesn't work, there is something wrong with the system from 07 that hasn't been fixed for 08.

slightly off topic, but my 2008 66 rc3's arn't great either, play in the bushes even though the are new, and the daft q/r axel thing doesn't work, the ratchet packed up as soon as i used it.  I hate to say it but windwave are as much use as a slap in the face.

Hope your experience with them is better than mine!

No really you cant! With all the air out and even all the oil out it still stops dead at about 100-105mm travel. The travel adjust doesn't make a difference either, it winds the fork down but the travel still stays at 100mm. If Windwave say no then Ill have a look but I don't want to void any warranty (which you might have voided already by taking the oil out, but we'll ignore that  Tongue)

Everyones having trouble with the new Marzocchis this year especially the 55s, send them away m8 loads of people are, there hassle and constantly break/have faults in them. Even the 888s are like that this year as well, i was going to order a set of 888 RC3 world cups for a while but for the price, everyones having trouble with them, Saturday/Sunday at Fort Bill 2 pairs of 2008 888s "Stuck Down" sending one person over the bars (Ive Heard) and the other person that i was with had his forks stuck down, said he thinks there bent so I'm not sure whats the score but i think this year the 888s have been made lighter and thicker meaning there not as strong as before.

i borrowed a set of 55 tst's this weekend. thought they were pretty gash. after fiddling with the rebound, putting a few more psi in the pre load, and then doing 3 runs of a 2 min dh track, they just began to rattle, sounded almost like they had no oil or something, or the springs had come loose. Not really impressed with those forks at all.

hi, thanks for your help on this subject, but i got an email back from windwave and apparently there is nothing mechanically wrong with the fork, there is just to much oil in the tst cartridge and it needs re-bled.

the email
Hi,
Yes its a problem from the factory- where theres too much oil in the tst2 cartridge- resulting in it locking out halfway through its travel.
We can fix this under warranty.
The cartridge just needs removing and it will need rebleeding.
If you send the fork to us with a cover note, or a copy of this email- explaining what the problem is.
Your contact details, ie- returns address, phone number etc.
We also need a copy of receipt/proof of purchase for the forks, from where you brought them from and when, so we can do the work under warranty and claim back for Marzocchi Italy.

Kind regards,

Steve
