on another site i use (not so much anymore) there was a forum that normal members couldnt see, you had to be voted in. (I know this because i was voted in Smiley )
could you not just make a new forum for the immortals thats similar to the chill zone but free of 'plebs' and invisible to everyone else?
locking the chill zone to normal members seems pretty unfair, its a minority of us who post crap....

Hello, I'm (formerly) Mr Ed

how many people are immortal though?

Enough...

Al, i totally agree with what your saying, hadnt thought of that one...
I suspect that you two who have complained didnt read the stuff in the chill zone when it was immortals only...I've come to this conclusion because neither of you are immortals...

Mr Ed's point is pretty true, there was still funny banter, along a similar vain as now, just fewer crap threads about random shite games, and other stuff that's been posted 10million times in the past.

It wasnt a case of it being all serious...just less crap to have to sift through before you found something that made you laugh so much you cried  Wink

I'd agree with Mr Ed, but I cant say it really bothers me.

Rootes

it doesnt bother me, as such, more just the level of maturity has declined, for example when pre pubescent teens start talking about there sexual exploits, and then come up with idiotic exaggerations to defend themselves when they get laughed at... or when people post about every single aspect of there life - it really wouldnt suprise me if a certain member posted up 'shal i have... a cup of tea or coffee' (with included spelling mistake..)

there hasnt been a quality thread in there for a long while - green cocks was oneof the funnist things ive ever seen on a forum... nothing of that calibre for a while..

As for an immortals only board, might be good, how much use it would get is another matter.. probably worth a go...

isn't that exactly what you were asking for in the first place? or do you only want a board if the rest of us don't have one?

To be fair Ed we probably wouldn't have had another thread like Green cocks even if it had stayed as it was. The green cocks thread was no different to all the threads popping up now, just you and I were part of the crowd that made that thread funny.. I'm sure it was just as immature! Plenty of people probably looked at that then and thought "Tossers", too!

can't you just stop the cr*p posters (mikey, devans, pomaz etc.) from posting in the chill zone?

Thers always going to be people posting crap, maybe not as much if you remove the named perpertrators but it would be impossble to stop the flow of crap posts

An "immortals only" place sounds like a good idea, even thought I'm unimmortal Sad

Pfffft thats charming!

Devans and myself happen to think long and hard about the crap in which we post, its not all useless rubbish about how many slags we've had "action with" etc.

Getting bored of just being

« Reply #29 on: May 23, 2008, 19:49:08 PM »

to be fair, i have been a member of another very popular forum for a while, and didnt really use here. I now use both, and when i first looked in the chill zone, i thought all the members of mbugay had transended onto here! Luckily, the rest of the forum does not reflect this!

Edit: But by having  a chill zone, it keeps all these peoples mind poo in one place, and so does not clog up the rest of the forum with it. When it starts to spread elsewhere is when one starts to worry!!
