Camp sites near Rheola?
« on: May 21, 2008, 20:02:34 PM »

I'm thinking of heading down to the next uplift day at Rheola, but maybe stopping off at Bryn Bach with the hardtail on the way down and wondered if anyone knew of a fine camping establishment somewhere nearby?
Preferably far enough away from Merthyr that I don't get my car/bike/tent/sleeping bag/kidneys stolen!

On the dragon website its says about a campsite but also says NO NEED TO BOOK so i went on the site and it said "Booking's in advance only." So does this mean there is a need to book or something else?

Why not ring them and ask?  Difficult, isn't it...

As an alternative, www.glynymulfarm.co.uk is one that has had good reviews in the past, just up the road.

Just thought I'd mention I ended camping in the campsite at Bryn Bach park, which is awesome as you can session the BMX track in the evening, only £7 a night too. Bit far away for the race but it was great as an evenings entertainment en route
