Personally, I love both in different situations.  But the Megavalanche was an amalgamation of all the best bits of DH racing, and the head to head aspects of 4x.

You're still racing the clock, trying to beat others at the same time!

Against the clock, because if you have a bad run then you only have yourself to blame.

Timed defo....

In head to head u can get cut up and crash and it has nothing to do with your skill level...

In DH or anything else timed  if u crash its ya own fault...

i'd say against the clock as the clock never lies Grin

and there is a possibility of cheating when going head to head

Head to head is definatly better in my opinion, mainly because you can see if your losing or winning so you push yourself harder

Not that I actually race or anything it just sounds better

I think the adrenaline rush is so much more than time trial, but on the other hand timed runs can be more fun as you are racing more against yourself, its sort of a split thing. Im not sure which to go for Undecided Grin

im a dirt jump and street rider, so not much racing really.

but i have been to a BMX track with a few mates, and its wicked fun just bombing it round, sod the tactics, high air, whip it out and style all the way, we treated it like Dirt Jumps that we could ride next to eachother, was well cool!
