Well.. Today was eventful. Many of you who ride around brighton and in particular wildpark may know richard (Gotie, Spends his life building ) as hes always up there every day on his own normally building tracks and loads of northshore for other people to have fun on and ride, when people nock it down, him and his friends build it back up.. Well today he came round one of the raised corners in front of us, after doing it on his own before we turned up a few times. As he was pedalling the rear lost grip, he tried to pull up but nosied it down about 5ft face first into the ground - wearing a pisspot, as where most of us , so that did alot of good as it didnt even touch the ground, so he went face first from pretty high up with alot of force into chalk.. Ouch. Then bars into ribs. Ended up on his back coughing up blood and screaming while i was calling 999. eventually after about an hour the helicopter turned up and he was air lifted out... What im trying to say is a few things here... 1. Get better asap! (oh and ive got your bike and all your kit with me ) 2. Even if its summer, and you know what your doing - he rode the course every day at least 10 times for months. Wear a full face if there is any chance of falling and hurting yourself. 3. NEVER go riding anything that you could get hurt on alone. If we werent there he would have been f'ed and something bad could have happened... 4. NEVER hesitate to call 999, you get the impression its all formal, its really not, the people on the other end of the phone are INCREDIBLY helpful and very easy to talk to, so dont be at all apprehensive about calling. Its what we pay for after all... (well.. you adults ) Sorry for the essay, but just trying to get a point accross... Get well soon again!! Jeron Oh and thanks to Elliot and Sonny for making sure hes okay and getting the ambulance crew up to where we where!

thats good to know, the worst part of a bad crash is getting better to find a broken bike.
my worst crash was at a downhill race practice day and i was in such a bad state after the crash that i didn't think about my bike, when i got home i realised i had £600 worth of damage which is just the icing on a crappy cake
Unlucky! i had too 'fun' offs today whilst caining it down the dh track for my mate filming.. oh he had fun Drifting then back slipped out and thrown off into a tree, then about 5 mins later realised i was on the wrong part of the track and was heading for a tree, slammed on brakes , flew over bars for about 10ft. Not hurt at all, last one was well fun! Sometimes we arent so lucky though.. Oh and this really isnt a que to post up your crashes, so dont, theres another section for that

Hope F**K with a capital "F" thats really bad I cant belive that would happen to Richard hope he gets better soon his going to help me ride that north shore lol
Jeron any damage to his bike?
i arrived about 20mins after richard was airlifted out. He is a great guy, i was talking to him yesterday and we were arguing about carbon bars being crap or not. They survived the crash so he wins this one! The bike is completely fine, the crank fell off because the tension bolt was threaded, but as jeron has said he as fixed it. We had a rather nice Sinister sitting around all day. Lovely bike!
