Right I only have Movie Maker at the moment but all the video I have taken is Mpeg files.

How can I convert it to a file I can put into Movie maker?

Your best lookin at downloading a free movie maker which supports those files.
If you google it there are plenty which will convert it but the file sizes will be huge.

ive just been using the free trials which also gives you an idea of what to buy when you get round to spending money on one.
Sony vegas is quite good, and theres 3 versions so 90days worth or free editing there plus Ulead as well.
