I'm finding it quite refreshing not having huge images spoiling my reading Smiley

its threads like this where the resizing module is a bit annoying.

if the thumbnailes were made bigger then it wouldnt really be a problem, maybe twice as big.

The size they are was picked because it is the same size as attached image previews, which to date, no one has ever commented on or complain about.

you what? theres a few complaints already about the preview size? and its only been in action a week or so.

i prefered it before too,

I agree entirely.  Both oversized images and scrolling was better.

perhaps ive missed the point.

We are clearly not talking about the same thing. I refered to "attached image previews" not in-link linked image.

I much prefer how it is, it takes all of 2 seconds to click on the big white block to enlarge the pics....
And also Im using a ghetto mouse that hasnt got a scrolly thing in the middle, so to see most pics I have to scroll down for a while to find the bottom of the pics (although this is only really in spangly new kit, where people have lots of pics underneath each other).

Seeing as there is a large divide in the people that like / dislike the new image resizing module would it be possible to create a skin with it as standard and a skin without it?

I know it's extra work for you guys, but it would mean that people would have a choice.

im not minding it as much anymore as it does keep the pages more tidy. just takes a bit longer to view the images you want, especially when on a laptop. overall its probably better.

Yeah,

Looks gash, so what's the point? Nobody's on dial up any more, and it just makes photo threads look rubbish... what's the reasoning behind it?

I think its to shrink massive photos in normal threads (it could do with being turned off on this forum!) and it doesnt make any difference to loading time.. as the image is preloaded before the forum actually shrinks it  Undecided

Because there was a scroll bar in place before when the image was huge, an we all had to scroll right whenever the pic was too big, meaning we couldn't see the overall picture.

It's supposed to prevent the old way of things where it only took one person to post a picture the size of a house and every post on that page would be stretched wider than goatse-man's passage.

Horizontal scroll bars are the work of satan himself.
