i think the only reason you hear of bad experiences with them is because the sheer amount of people that order off them, they can't be 100% perfect...

agreed  Grin

and if you heard about all the good experiences, then you would hear billions more than the bad ones. Its only the bad ones that are posted about and discussed, so thats all you hear about

Great thread! CRC have always been perfect for me. I've sent them a personal email recently thanking them for their excellent service, and got a very nice one back. in honesty i havn't been on the phone to them recently which is where a few negative things have come about, perhaps they're suffering from their own success, but they truly are brilliant and i have never ever experienced anything bad from them. Great prices, great customer service, perfect.

Never had a problem with them myself either, ordered one bike, two wheels, three sets of gloves, a full face, a set of brakes, brake pads, shin pads etc, every time the order came on time or only a day after ordering!!  Grin

I have to say CRC are a benchmark for all online ecommerce websites. My job involves working in ecommerce and wish most of my clients could match their customer service. Have tried to spread the love a little and some of merlins prices are good and they have caught on to the service of chain reaction. But CRC will always be my first port of call. I've had a couple of small problems with things I have ordered including a very specific wheel dish on a rear wheel build. But every problem is dealt with brillianlty (the wheels once corrected have lasted ages!).

I think the way they have dealt with the few problems I have had amongst my many orders is the real measure. Always curteous and efficient.

I have to say CRC are by far the best online bike shop. I ordered a Hope Hub once at about 4 o'clock and didn't expect them to process it, but it was on my doorstep the next morning!

They also do a heck of a lot for the sport in general, sponsoring races, sponsoring the WC team. They are a great asset to our sport in general.

i think the only reason you hear of bad experiences with them is because the sheer amount of people that order off them, they can't be 100% perfect...

I think a lot of people order stuff that isnt in stock too.

I really like CRC's modern form of trading, its a bit like the sucessful regular webshops like amazon, play etc.

Reduced prices across the board, and no hassle free delivery. - I procrastinate so much when I have to buy something and pay for delivery, buying extra stuff I dont need to make it "worth it"

With shops like these, you just gotta make sure to only order in stock items, and you will never have any problems.

Because of their prescence on the internet they take trading standards complaints, and general bad mouthing very seriously, so you will always get your money back if things go tits up.

Really think LBS should keep the prices inline with shops like CRC and Wiggle aswell.

As they manage to sell staples like BRanded inner tubes for £1.99 posted. Where most LBS' charge £4+ for a generic one.

I've only ever had great experiences with them. Hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot here cos I'm waiting on a new helmet to arrive tomorrow and I'm off to South of France riding for 2 weeks tomorrow night. Bit screwed if it doesn't come!
I did have a rear mech arrive once and the bearings on one of the wheels were locked so I called them at 6pm that night, had a new wheel in my hand at 8am the next morning!
