CRC are bollocks, as much as people love, them they just piss all over local bike shops with their prices, most shops can't compete with them simply because they dont have room to buy in bulk to the same extent as CRC. Where were we before the internet eh?! LBS all the way. I swear they're trying to take out all the bike shops! Pisses me off a bit this does.

I disagree... You cannot really say that CRC are "bollocks" for the simple reason they are a successful. They might out do all the LBS's but they didn't at the beginning did they? they began as a LBS and managed to pull their finger out and actually become as popular as they are... and using their pricing as an argument is ridiculous... Its business, you sell to customers, not adjust prices so that you don't get as many sales! also if you sell products cheap easily 1000+ customers benefit and maybe 10+ companies don't.

Afterall CRC is a Business, not a charity...

So you too want to run the rest of the worlds small bikes shops out of business then?
Surely this is making it perfectly clear that todays way of life is to simply sit at home and buy stuff off the net. Not go out and support what was a thriving english services industry.

Surely this is making it perfectly clear that todays way of life is to simply sit at home and buy stuff off the net. Not go out and support what was a thriving english services industry.

This is such a ridiculous argument... (my apologies to anyone reading for taking up so much space)

so i should spend extra to support my local bike shop should i? why on earth would i do that? spend 20% more simply because they're ripping me off around the corner?

i presume you shop in a supermarket? why? you are running all the greengrocers/butchers/fishmongers out of business
i presume you too shop in Ikea or other such flat pack furniture shops? you are running all the local carpenters out of business
i presume you use email? you realise by doing so your putting royal mail services out of business
i presume you buy clothes from high street shops? you relise your putting all the minor clothing manufacturers out of business
i presume you drive your own car? by doing so you put all the rental/taxi/hire services out of business
i presume, judging by your stance on this issue you only buy products made in England, however by doing so you realise your putting other countries product manufacturers out of business
The list goes on...

also do you realise that the majority of bikes listed on you website appear to be of foreign manufacturers? by doing so you may be putting English brands out of business

if we did everything for the simple fact it was local, and supported a "thriving english services industry." we'd get bugger all done, and we'd be poor...

everyone makes decisions based on ease, i bet even you have done one or more of the above, and possibly many more... stop being so hypocritical.

got a set of sunline bars from CRC... ordered the 1" rise, and the 2" rise turn up... and the order sheet shows the 2" ordered...

before you say numb must pressed the wrong button... this isnt the first time..

ordered 10 tubes in presta and a load of schrader turn up, so I flog them to a guy at work, as he is not fussed, re-order and the same thing happens...

I put that down to me... but now it has happened with the bars... I am questioning it...

anyone else had anything like this...

and if i just stick on "return to sender" will the bars make it back to CRC...Huh... without me having to pay postage...

IF CRC made the error, and you can tell by looking at the order on their online thing, then CRC will refund you the postage. If you didn't check the order before you pressed confirm, then you get to pay the postage. If you believe things changed after clicking confirm I suggest you speak to CRC directly so they can look through their server logs, which will show exactly what you clicked and when.

I brought a pair of gloves off CRC. They came next day all fine. I sent back the shorts to get a size smaller and they sent back:

Another pair of gloves
The original shorts and new ones!

Sold them on ebay and made a profit Smiley
