What stand do you use for your remote flash? Any recommendations?

Do you just use an hot shoe adapter on top of the tripod? Was hoping there might be some specific mini tripods specifically for a flash.

Mini tripods are s**t. Get a proper one and enjoy the fact you can have your flash more than 6 inches above the ground. Or get a superclamp or gorillapod and find some tree branches.

Get a cheap tripod.. about 6ft tall or so. GorillaPods are good but UltraPods are better!

How did you figure that out? The ultrapod is a crappy mini tripod and the gorilla pod is designed to clamp round stuff.

I would personally use the gorillapod. Joby make an adaptor for flashguns so you can just slide it in and clamp it on top. It gives you a load more possibilities to light your subject if you dont mind a little climbing.

I meant get a 6ft tripod AND a gorrilapod/ultrapod. That way you can get things higher up, as well as getting a bit of fill from lower down!

Clearly I was asleep when I wrote that one.. I havent seen the Joby attachment, will have to check that out.
