i think of it like this, you havnt eaten all night so at breakfast you dont have enough time to satisfy yourself,or just not enough space in the belly so by 11 ish you have more space but still need to eat a lot to make up for the night, whatever i eat at breakfast never satisfys me till 11.

It does indeed, as your metabolism is fastest in the morning. Ideally breakfast should be the biggest meal of the day, with your meals getting successively smaller as you go through the day. In an ideal world your tea should be like a sandwhich or something.

Have a read of Paul's (chilled76) "weight loss tips" thread, eating little and often is the way forward.  Smiley

You'll feel hungry at first but if you grin and bear it for a bit (maybe a couple of weeks max) your body will adjust to your new eating habits and you'll feel hungry and be satisfied at the right time with the right amount of food. Works a treat.

I see porridge cropping up alot in here as a good breakfast to have, there is always some in the cupboards in my house but I don't really eat it. But thats probably 'cause it tastes like crap because I whack her in the microwave in a true rushed morning fashion  Wink

Do you lot cook it in a pan? And will it make that much difference to the taste y'reckon?
I am rubbish at eating in the morning but I'm always pretty hungry too.

I put my porridge in the microwave, but thats the only way ive ever done it so I cant really compare.
Its not so much the tastes but the texture that takes some getting used to, but its nice to have a hot breakfast Tongue
hmm im hungry now, fancy some porridge  Roll Eyes

oh and dont eat bread sticks for breakfast would be my advice, although they do seem to be quite high in carbs (which from this thread I gather its a good thing) I had 37 of them for breakfast this morning, and was hungry about an hour later, lol.
