My camcorder got partially submerged (in the front half) today after a fall. Right after it fell in I dryed everything up as best I could and it turned on and resumed working perfectly for an hour or so after that. Then about 30mins after I turn it on again and it just wont turn on. I took the battery out and there was a single drop of water where the battery terminals are. The camcorder works fine when connected with the DC In jack to the mains, and functions normally. Also when I press on the Battery Level Check button when its connected to the mains, it actually shows the battery level (which is currently full), which I suppose it means the camcorder can access the battery but the battery cannot give power to the camera?

So the question is, what's the problem? Do you think it's just the battery, or one of the circuits inside the camcorder?
