Most sensible thread starters know to ignore the children on here
I hope by "children" you are referring to immature people (of all ages), otherwise i think thats a little harsh... I'm only 16, no idea what you class as children, but i don't try to start these forum-fights. I try my best to give useful responses where ever i can, i don't use ridiculous 'TXT SPK', and i don't go around trying to start altercations amongst other members. I am annoyed as has been said previously by the constant 'looking down' of some, incredibly single minded, older people on this forum. ...and I think you just proved your maturity by being able to read into what I meant by 'children' I think that people have to display a level of immaturity to perceive some peoples responses as 'looking down'. If you can take the thoughtful opinions of others on-board, then great. If you don't agree, go find relevant info to support your own theory and put it to them in a mature manner. An older/wiser/more mature member will display a better constructed argument supported with material (often found with google or the search function in approx 5.62secs) whilst the 'looked-down-upon' will be retorting with unfounded rubbish, expletives and constantly shifting off the subject of the previous post. Keep an eye out next time you see a bitch fest, don't respond, just sit back and observe. Then report repeat offenders Smithy

Wat annoys them is that within 5 (mostly useless) replies, 2 or three posters are bitching about something totally irrelevant, and with a day, the thread is 3 pages of useless crap.
I've not been a member as long as many, but I am starting to find the forum fairly useless (no offence to the mods and admin). I just find very little useful information from the forum anymore. It's just people asking what colours they shoud get/how to 'raw' their frame/what frame to buy over and over and over.
1. Please please please click report to mod what you see useless crap. We do delete what we see, but we can't be everywhere all the time. 2. You wouldn't believe the number of "what colour" threads we delete already If you see duplicate threads, to 'report to mod' and we'll merge. We do a fair bit already but I'm sure we could do more Cheers, Al 'ban stick of Veero'. Al...where is Veero? Havn't seen him on here in ages?

I get the feeling that the demise of the MBUK forum may well be the cause, but not necessarily in the way you guys are thinking.
A lot of the hassle on the MBUK forum wasn't the regulars, but the transient 'members' who had typed "mountainbike forum" or "downhill forum" or "dirtjumping forum" into google and gone from there. Before Future wound it up, we were pretty much on top of the stereotypical MBUK forumite, no text type, no muppetry outside the chat section etc, in fact, we made Veero look liberal.
Obviously, with no MBUK forum anymore to bleed off those people, they've got to go somewhere and SDH is, unfortunately, pretty far up that list.
Just be grateful that SDH is run by a good bunch of mods who're totally on top of their game and aren't going to have the carpet pulled out from under them.
